“No music without a story”, that’s the motto of The RUUF inc. This talented composer, keyboard player, and producer (also known as Ruud Smit) has a unique vision on music. His motto is to convert stories into emotion through music because he strongly believes in the power of music to convey emotions and connect with the listener.
In 2018, The RUUF inc made its debut in the music industry with the album “Just To Be With You”. This album was the result of a collaboration with an exceptional team of international session musicians and studio professionals. The album turned out to be a tremendous success and marked the beginning of a thriving career.
The music of The RUUF inc is recorded in the highly professional sound studio Studio A60 in Didam, Gelderland in the Netherlands. Here, Ruud works with live musicians who are certainly no strangers to the international music industry. The RUUF inc loves working with live musicians because they can really bring the atmosphere of the music to life; only then can you emphasize the emotion in the music. The music of The RUUF inc is unique, inspiring, and reaches deep into the soul.
For our cover photos, we work closely with our regular photographer, Robbin van Turnhout. Creating a striking cover photo is no simple task; it’s a process intertwined with the song, the artist, the lyrics, and the mood of the piece. This requires intense collaboration to achieve a suitable composition. From deciding between a full body or a close-up, to selecting colors that suit the song and its atmosphere, every step is carefully considered. We discuss with Robbin at an early stage how to achieve a satisfying result. The input of both the composer and the individuals being photographed is invaluable.
During the photo sessions, hundreds of photos are taken, and we select together to achieve the final result that everyone is happy with.
Robbin’s patience as a photographer is admirable. With his professional approach, he continuously motivates to get the right poses and positions. The result is always impressive: professional, skilled, and craftsmanship of the highest level.

A good song always begs for a sequel, and that’s certainly true for “Cuando me Busques”. With over 72,000 streams in South American countries, it’s clear that Spanish-language music is in high demand. So, we couldn’t just leave it at that. That’s why The Ruuf Inc, along with Michelle, have been hard at work crafting a follow-up track.
Right now, we’re in the midst of creating the music and arrangements, while Michelle is busy writing another beautiful Spanish-language text and melody. “Letras para Olvidar”. We’re putting all of our energy and passion into making sure that the sequel lives up to the high expectations set by the first song.
The release for this track of Michelle is set for April 30th and will be available on all streaming platforms.
